Announcements for the week of August 24th:

 
 
TEAMKID
TeamKid starts Sunday, Sept. 7 with a family luau.  Come and join us from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and learn what TeamKid is all about!

WEDNESDAY EVENING PRAYER TOPICS
Topic for Wednesday, Aug. 27:  “Is Judas Iscariot in heaven?” 
During September the Wednesday evening prayer topic will be on the Holy Spirit.

SUNDAY SCHOOL WORKERS MEETING
There will be a Sunday School workers meeting this Tuesday, August 21, at 7:00 p.m. 
All Sunday School teachers and Outreach leaders are encouraged to attend and participate in this
first planning meeting for the new Sunday School year, beginning in September. 
Please bring enrollment and attendance records from your classroom.

SUNDAY SCHOOL PROMOTION DAY
Sunday School Promotion Day is September 7; the first day of the new 2008-2009 Sunday School year. 
All preschoolers promote to the next age level, and all students promote to the next grade level. 
During the last 15 minutes of Sunday School on August 31,
we are letting the promoting preschoolers & students visit their new Sunday School classrooms.

CHURCH SOFTBALL
Fall ball has started!  Our church softball team will be playing Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Honeycutt Park. 
For game times, see the back of the bulletin, or check out the Baptist Men’s (blue) bulletin board.

WEDNESDAY EVENING SCHEDULE
Our regular Wednesday evening schedule of programs resumes on August 6.  The schedule will be as follows:

Discipleship Training
7:00 p.m. – Preschool Choir
7:30 p.m. – Adult Choir

DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING
A new D. T. study, “Walking by Faith:  Lessons Learned in the Dark” by Jennifer Rothschild,
will begin Wednesday, Aug. 6, at 6:30 p.m.  For more info and to sign up, see the D. T. (orange) bulletin board. 
The first meeting will be an initial introductory and planning meeting to pick up your books ($11) and DVD’s ($2) to get started.



C.A.F.E.’ – CHRISTIAN ADULT FELLOWSHIP ENCOUNTERS

NURSERY WORKERS
The church is currently looking for two persons willing to be paid part-time to provide supervision
to our Nursery area on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. 
We are looking to hire non-church members, so if you know of anyone let the church know.

2:30-3:30 every Sunday!



FAMILY LIFE CENTER FUND
The Family Life Center Fund is a separate fund from the general contributions. 
When you make a contribution to the Family Life Center, please write a separate check to this fund! 
We have two separate checking accounts, one for general fund and one for the Family Life Center! 
We cannot separate one check between the two accounts.

 


 SERVICES ON RTN CABLE CHANNEL 22
Our 10:55 a.m. worship service is now being broadcast on RTN Cable Channel 22
on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. Tune in when you get the opportunity

 

 

 WORSHIP SERVICE DVDs


DVDs of our 10:55 service are available each Sunday. 
Cost is $5.  If you would like to purchase one, fill out the forms
at the video booth and give to the person in the booth.
